Man charged with injury to child after Harris County incident

HARRIS COUNTY, Texas (CW39) – A toddler remains in critical condition after the Harris County Sheriff’s Office said the child was reportedly hit multiple times by their mother’s boyfriend.

Investigators said the child’s mother and her boyfriend, Gerardo Gonzalez, brought the unresponsive toddler to a gas station off Cypresswood Drive Thursday night. Deputies began CPR before the child was flown to a hospital.
