Fort Worth police took a 23-year-old man into custody after he briefly barricaded himself, in a standoff that lasted from Sunday night into early Monday morning.
The man was arrested in connection with a fatal shooting reported Sunday at 8:40 p.m. in the 5600 block of Talons Crest Circle, Fort Worth police said in a news release.
Officers found an unidentified man shot inside a vehicle after arriving to the location. “The suspect is believed to be known by the victim,” according to the news release.
Police said the suspected shooter barricaded himself in a nearby home. Officers later arrested the man sometime after 1 a.m. Monday, according to police.
The 23-year-old has been arrested on a murder charge, according to the Fort Worth Police Department jail blotter.
The Tarrant County medical examiner will identify the man killed.
