LUBBOCK, Texas (KCBD) – A New Mexico woman was killed in a rollover in Lubbock County Friday night.
On August 7, just after 11 p.m., troopers responded to a single-vehicle crash on FM 41 and County Road 1240.
Crash investigators say a GMC pickup, driven by 41-year-old Kelly Pope, was traveling west on FM 41 when it left the roadway into the south barrow ditch. The pickup went into a side skid, went back across FM 41 and entered the north barrow ditch. The vehicle continued into the field and rolled over.
Pope died at the scene of the crash. Crash investigators say she was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash.
