The new clinic brings walk-in and virtual care to families across southeastern Collin County
Collin County’s rapid growth isn’t only reshaping where people live and work; it’s also increasing the need for healthcare closer to home. Hospitals, clinics and other providers have been expanding across the county, and now that growth is reaching southeastern Collin County with a new urgent care option in Murphy.
Integrity Urgent Care opened its newest clinic on Aug. 3 at 211 E. FM 544, Suite 401, serving Murphy and surrounding communities including Parker, Plano, Richardson and Wylie. The clinic offers walk-in and virtual care for common illnesses and minor injuries, along with extended evening and weekend hours.
The opening comes as healthcare providers across Collin County continue investing in new facilities and services to accommodate one of the fastest-growing populations in the country.
Health Care Is Following Collin County’s Growth
Collin County’s population has climbed rapidly over the past decade. As previously reported by Local Profile, the county reached approximately 1.2 million residents in 2024, adding more than 46,000 people in a single year.
That population growth is already influencing major healthcare investments. Earlier this year, Texas Health Resources announced plans for a new 51-acre hospital campus in northeast McKinney, explicitly citing the area’s rapid growth and increasing healthcare needs. The hospital is expected to open in 2028 with 60 beds and room for future expansion.
Integrity’s Murphy clinic represents a different scale of that expansion. Rather than adding another hospital, the facility focuses on everyday medical needs that can be treated without an emergency room visit or a traditional primary care appointment.
“Our company was founded with the desire to increase access to affordable, exceptional care,” Integrity Urgent Care CEO David Pyle said in an official statement. “Murphy is a close-knit, family-focused community with strong connections to neighboring cities across southeastern Collin County.”
Pyle added that the company sees convenience as particularly important for families balancing work and school schedules.
Filling The Gap Between Routine And Emergency Care
The Murphy clinic treats non-life-threatening illnesses and minor injuries and provides X-rays, lab testing, EKGs, sports medicine, STI screening and virtual primary care. On-site testing is also available for illnesses including flu, strep, RSV and COVID-19, with same-day results and treatment. Patients can walk in seven days a week or check in online.
Integrity itself describes its urgent care clinics as treating illnesses and injuries requiring immediate attention but not emergency care. The clinic also serves local employers with physicals, drug screenings, immunizations, testing and workers’ compensation services.
Integrity says the location was selected to serve not only Murphy residents but families, schools and employers throughout nearby communities. The company operates urgent care clinics across Texas and provides both in-person and virtual healthcare services.
The Murphy clinic is open Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m., Saturday from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., according to the company’s announcement.
As Collin County continues adding residents, the question isn’t simply how many new hospitals are being built. It’s also about whether everyday healthcare is expanding into the communities where that growth is happening, and whether residents can access it when they need it.
