The Nueces County Medical Examiner identified the 60-year-old man killed after being struck by two vehicles on Kostoryz Road.
CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — The Nueces County Medical Examiner has identified the man killed in a July 31 pedestrian crash on Kostoryz Road as Ruben Bueno, 60. His family has been notified.

According to the Corpus Christi Police Department, officers responded around 6:32 a.m. July 31 to the 4300 block of Kostoryz Road for a reported vehicle-versus-pedestrian crash.
Investigators said Bueno was crossing eastbound across Kostoryz Road outside of a marked crosswalk when he was struck by a vehicle. The impact threw him into the northbound lanes, where he was struck by a second vehicle.
Police said both drivers remained at the scene and cooperated with investigators.
Traffic investigators determined Bueno was crossing outside of a designated crosswalk. Police also said alcohol was not a factor.
The investigation remains ongoing.
