A fried chicken restaurant, backed by NBA Hall of Famer Shaquille O’Neal, closed in June.
Big Chicken opened Sep. 3, 2024, in the Alliance area of Fort Worth, according to previous Community Impact reporting.
The menu was inspired by O’Neal’s childhood favorites and included: fried chicken sandwiches, chicken tenders, Cheez-It-crusted macaroni and cheese, popcorn chicken and shakes, according to its website.
Tradecor Real Estate Development has listed the 2,850-square-foot end cap for sublease with a term running through 2034, according to an online posting.
Big Chicken still has locations in 17 states, as well as Canada, the United Kingdom and Honduras, according to its website. The only remaining location in Texas is in Austin inside the Moody Center at the University of Texas.
