LUBBOCK, Texas (KCBD) – The Texas Department of Transportation is making road repairs to FM 179 between 4th Street and 19th Street that may affect commuters this week and next.
FM 179 will be closed to traffic during operations but will reopen between the two phases. Drivers should avoid the area if possible.
Phase 1: Aug. 10–13
Phase 1 operations began Monday and run through Thursday, Aug. 13. Work during this phase covers FM 179 from 19th Street to 10th Street.
Phase 2: Aug. 17–18
Phase 2 will focus on FM 179 from 10th Street to 4th Street and is scheduled for Monday, Aug. 17 and Tuesday, Aug. 18.
