LUBBOCK – The Midland Christian volleyball team swept Lubbock Trinity Christian during its 2026 season opener on Monday.
The Lady Mustangs’ win gave Ciara Rodriguez a victory in her debut as the program’s head coach.
Jordyn Hamilton shined for MCS with 15 kills, seven digs and three aces; Lilli Gurule had a team-high 10 digs and three aces; Robin Stewart compiled 10 kills; Emme Saxton recorded 18 assists and four aces; Kenzie Kessler had 10 assists and nine digs; and Lily Tankersley registered nine digs.
The Lady Mustangs (1-0) visit Wall at 6 p.m. Aug 11.
