The NWS Fort Worth TX released an updated heat advisory at 7:56 p.m. on Monday valid for Tuesday between 1 p.m. and 8 p.m. The advisory is for Wise, Denton, Collin, Parker, Tarrant, Dallas, Johnson, Montague, Cooke, Grayson, Fannin, Lamar, Jack, Hunt, Delta, Hopkins, Palo Pinto, Rockwall, Kaufman and Ellis counties.
The NWS informs, “Heat index values up to 108 degrees expected.”
“Hot temperatures and high humidity will increase the risk for heat-related illnesses to occur, particularly for those working or participating in outdoor activities,” adds the NWS.
This advisory is in effect until Tuesday at 8 p.m.
