A woman’s body has been found near the North Freeway and Crosstimbers Road, according to the Houston Police Department.
HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) — An investigation is underway Monday afternoon after utility workers found a woman’s decomposing body near the North Freeway at Crosstimbers Road, according to the Houston Police Department.
According to HPD at the scene, the workers were performing regular maintenance under the underpass when they discovered the remains.
Officers say it took the crew some time to realize what they found.
Investigators say the woman’s body was decomposing, and it’s unclear how long she may have been dead.
HPD added that because of the state of the remains, they need the medical examiner to determine the woman’s age and race.
