Drivers should expect alternating one-way traffic and possible delays near the O.N. Stevens Water Treatment Plant beginning Wednesday.

CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — Drivers traveling on Rushing Boulevard near the O.N. Stevens Water Treatment Plant should expect traffic restrictions beginning Wednesday, Aug. 12, as crews install a pipeline.

Traffic will be reduced to alternating one-way lanes through part of Rushing Boulevard. Flaggers will direct drivers through the construction zone, according to the City of Corpus Christi.

The pipeline installation is part of a larger improvement project underway at the O.N. Stevens Water Treatment Plant.

The city said nearby residents and businesses have been notified. Access to homes and businesses will remain open throughout the work.

Drivers are encouraged to use alternate routes to avoid delays and to follow posted signs when traveling through the construction area.

The city has not said how long the traffic restrictions are expected to remain in place.
