North Texas students are headed back to college soon.
Quiet quads and empty classrooms will come back to life as more than 400,000 students return to D-FW area campuses or arrive for the first time this August.
Nearly a quarter of all Texas students are enrolled in a college or university in the area, according to the Dallas Regional Chamber.

Paul Quinn College: Aug. 10
Students at Paul Quinn College, a private school in southern Dallas, started classes Monday.

University of North Texas: Aug. 17
Students at the Denton public university moved into their dorms last week.
The first day of classes is Monday, Aug. 17.

Move-in begins Wednesday, Aug. 12 for UTA students and runs through Sunday, Aug. 16.

UTD students will move onto the Richardson campus between Monday, Aug. 17 and Saturday, Aug. 22, organized by residence halls.

First-year students can move onto the Fort Worth campus starting Thursday, Aug. 20. Upperclassmen will move in Friday, Aug. 21.

TWU students can move into residence halls and apartments on campus from Monday, Aug. 17 to Wednesday, Aug. 19.

Dallas Baptist University: Aug. 24
First-year students move onto DBU’s campus on Wednesday, Aug, 19. Other students have been able to move in all summer, according to spokesperson Kellie Patterson.

The first day of the fall 16-week semester of Dallas College is Monday, Aug. 24.
Collin College: Aug. 24
The fall semester begins Monday, Aug. 24 for Collin College students.
University of Dallas: Aug. 26
First-year students will move into the Irving campus on Friday, Aug. 21. Other students return on Sunday, Aug. 23.
