ANGLETON, Texas — Someone in Texas is holding a Lotto Texas jackpot ticket worth $26.75 million after matching all six numbers in Monday night’s drawing.
The jackpot-winning Quick Pick ticket was sold at Murphy USA 5695, located at 1803 N. Velasco St. in Angleton, according to the Texas Lottery.
The winner selected the cash value option when the ticket was purchased and will receive $14,303,717.61 before taxes.
As of Tuesday, the prize had not been claimed. The winner has 180 days from the drawing date to claim the prize.
The retailer that sold the winning ticket may also be eligible for a $25,000 bonus through the Texas Lottery’s Retailer Bonus Program.
The jackpot began at an advertised $5 million for the April 22 drawing and went 48 drawings without a winner before Monday night’s jackpot.
More than 42,000 other Lotto Texas tickets won lower-tier prizes in the Aug. 10 drawing, with prizes ranging from $2 to $14,327.
The Lotto Texas jackpot will reset to an estimated $5 million for the next drawing Wednesday, Aug. 12.
Lotto Texas players select six numbers from one to 54. Drawings are held Mondays, Wednesdays and Saturdays at 10:12 p.m. CT.
