Ductwork Houston, born from a Dallas club, has taken over the original Warehouse Live location located at 813 St. Emmanuel St. on the East End of Houston. The EDM-focused venue will officially open its doors on Labor Day weekend and has released its first slate of shows, which should be a big boon for the city’s electronic dance music community. Dallas-based EDM club Silo and its new venue Ductwork announced the opening as the first phase of their Houston takeover.
“This September the first chapter of our story begins with Ductwork Houston,” the announcement post reads. “Ductwork Houston is more than a venue, it’s the first step in bringing the SILO standard to the city of Houston.”
Ductwork is the first Houston project for the popular Dallas club and concert venue, which has long teased opening a Silo Houston. The new venue comes at a time when long-time venues like Stereo Live have shut down over the past year, leaving a void in the space. Now, with Ductwork and an eventual Silo Houston filling that void and standing along established spots like Art Club, Bauhaus and more.
Ductwork will replace Warehouse Live, one of Houston’s most beloved and long-running music venues before it closed and moved to Midtown in 2023. At the time, many believed that the move was to get out before the massive I-45 project forced businesses in the area to relocate or close down.
The hype EDM fans have for the concept coming to Houston can’t be understated. Silo Dallas has become an extremely popular EDM destination with big names like Tiësto, Alesso, DJ Snake and Fatboy Slim performing sets. It was named one of the top 100 clubs in the world in 2025 by DJ Mag, joining a list of iconic EDM venues across the world.
Silo Houston will eventually be located at 3301 Sherman Street, according to permits filed with the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation. The estimated $1.2 million renovation project will see the 46,000-square-foot factory transformed into a concert hall, event space, and bar. The permit says that the project was completed on June 30.
The H-Town version of Silo was teased for November, but the coming soon date has been removed from the official Instagram. Ductwork seems to have taken its place for now, setting the stage for a more permanent venue in the future.
