Allen is getting a new destination for cheese, chocolate and everything in between. Melting Pot is officially opening its first Allen restaurant at Watters Creek Village, bringing the longtime fondue chain’s interactive dining experience to the city.

The restaurant will celebrate its arrival with a ribbon-cutting ceremony alongside the Allen Chamber of Commerce on Aug. 19.

Located at 935 Watters Creek Blvd. N., the new restaurant will feature Melting Pot’s signature four-course experience, beginning with cheese fondue and followed by salad, customizable entrĂ©es and chocolate fondue for dessert. The Allen location will also feature a modern interior, a bar and weekend lunch service.

A New Addition To Watters Creek

The opening adds another restaurant to Watters Creek Village during a period of change for the Allen development.

In April, Watters Creek Village changed ownership, with new owners Trademark Property Company and Pacific Retail Capital Partners outlining plans to invest in the mixed-use property and build on its combination of dining, shopping, offices and residential space.

Melting Pot’s arrival adds a nationally recognized restaurant brand to that dining mix.

The Allen restaurant is locally owned by franchisees Tracie and Dan Greene, residents of nearby Lucas. According to Melting Pot, the location will incorporate the brand’s newer restaurant design while maintaining the interactive fondue format it has offered for more than 50 years.
