I know I can’t be the only one who can’t function without my coffee in the morning. All across the world, nothing beats that first cup of coffee in the morning. This is not exactly breaking news. But according to the National Coffee Association, a whopping 66% of adults drink coffee every single day.
From early-morning commutes, to whipped-cream weekend refills, caffeine basically keeps the country running.
And now we know which states are the most hooked. A new study from SupremeWhip– that’s the company that keeps your local café stocked with whipped cream chargers- ranked every state by just how much they rely on that daily cup. Turns out, Texas came in at number six. Not bad for a state that already runs on brisket, football, and sheer determination.
How They Figured It Out
This wasn’t just some “who drinks the most coffee” kind of list. SupremeWhip got scientific about it, analyzing four major signs of caffeine dependence:
Average work hoursCoffee shop densitySleep stats- Based on CDC data showing how many folks are surviving on less than seven hours a night (hi, everyone).“Coffee near me” searches
All that data got mixed into one big ranking, and the results say Texans are grinding harder than most.
Who Took the Top Spots
Louisiana claimed the crown as the most coffee-dependent state, followed by West Virginia (#2) and Alaska (#3). But Texas made the top 10, landing solidly at #6, proving we take our caffeine seriously, even if we don’t always sleep enough to prove it.
