The gift and candy shop will be located at Barton Creek Square and offer candy, toys, Asian snacks, mystery box items and popular gifts such as Needoh and Jellycats. Hello Sweetie has two other locations in malls near San Diego and Chicago.

Pilates Addiction

Local couple Rosa Fishman and Victor Sandoval are gearing up to open a reformer Pilates studio in the same area where they met, got married and raised their children. Fishman said that people of all experience levels will be welcome in an email to Community Impact.

Still Austin Quarter

The team behind Still Austin Whiskey Co. will open the 15,000-foot space, which will operate as a cocktail bar and music venue, inspired by the brand’s Straight Bourbon Whiskey, “The Musician.” The venue can accommodate up to 500 guests. The cocktail menu will feature Still Austin’s spirits, and the food was designed to complement the cocktails, according to a news release.

Sushi Tokami

A TDLR project filing indicates the $350,000 project could be built at the former Back Home Furniture location, and a sign on the building indicates the restaurant will be all-you-can-eat.

The mobile mammography and breast cancer screening service launched in July 2021 and serves communities across Central Texas. The bus is part of Lone Star Circle of Care, which has 22 locations across the state.

Manchaca Springs Saloon

According to new owner Forrest Welborn, who took over last summer, the bar held a grand reopening in July after improving the existing bar, including rebuilding its outdoor stage, which features live music from local musicians each night, open mic nights and karaoke.

Pie Bar

The local dessert shop has been serving pies, cookies, cakes and more in South Austin since 2021.

Cava

The Sunset Valley location is celebrating five years of business this fall. Cava serves Mediterranean- and Greek-inspired bowls and wraps.

The food truck will open at Fetch Food Park and specialize in Japanese bento boxes featuring items such as grilled teriyaki, chicken katsu or steak, served with steamed rice and other sides. The truck will also serve a rotating selection of classic Japanese finger foods for appetizers.
