CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — The fourth annual Music Walk is returning to downtown Corpus Christi on Sept. 4.
The event honors the city’s designation as a Music Friendly Community, showcasing a variety of live music, local art, culture and more.
Organizers say there were some risks and questions when the event first started, including whether people would want to return. Sure enough, South Texas has continued to show up and support the event.

The goal is not just to provide entertainment but to give people a chance to step away from the day-to-day and enjoy something together as a community.
“It brings people together. It’s something that you go out to enjoy,” said owner of the House of Rock Casey Lain. “It’s a social event and lets you meet people, so there’s so many positives to music from a mental health standpoint. You just get lost in it sometimes and forget about the day to day you’re stressing about. Just put on some good music and jams and zone out.”
From hip-hop to live DJ sets, organizers say there will be something for everyone.
The Music Walk is set for Sept. 4 in downtown Corpus Christi.
