SAN ANTONIO (KTSA News) — San Antonio attorney Neil Calfas is facing multiple charges after he was arrested by the Texas Department of Public Safety on Wednesday.
According to multiple reports, Calfas was arrested after a search warrant was executed at his downtown law office in the 100 block of Broadway.
Calfas, 56, is charged with solicitation of prostitution and human trafficking.
Investigators say Calfas coerced one woman to have sex with him in exchange for legal help regarding her brother, who was in jail. Evidence gathered via jail phone calls and interviews were reported to support that charge. In the end, it is believed Calfas did not provide the legal services promised.
An additional charge of solicitation of prostitution was filed after investigators say a Snapchat video was found that shows a sexual encounter involving a man who hands over cash to a woman.
Calfas was being held on bond set at $110,000 on Wednesday.
