SAN ANTONIO — The search continues for a man wanted in connection with the death of a 37-year-old woman whose body was found in the back of a van in San Antonio.
John Gregory Brown Jr. is wanted on charges of murder and tampering with evidence with intent to impair a human corpse in connection with the death of Crystal Denae Proctor.
The investigation began May 7 when the Bexar County Sheriff’s Office received a missing person report from one of Proctor’s relatives. Investigators said she had been missing for about two weeks.
During the investigation, deputies located a vehicle associated with Proctor in the 8800 block of Cinnamon Creek.
Proctor was found dead inside the rear compartment of the white van.
Investigators later identified Brown as a suspect in the case and are now asking for the public’s help finding him.
Crime Stoppers is offering a reward of up to $5,000 for information leading to Brown’s arrest.
