According to Austin Police, the upper deck of I-35 would be closed for several hours due to the “active law enforcement incident” involving Texas DPS.
According to the Texas Department of Transportation, all lanes of southbound I-35 from US-183 to Airport Boulevard were closed, including both upper and lower decks. Drivers should avoid the area and use alternative routes if possible.
