Police evacuate residents during domestic disturbance at Carriage Park Towne House

CCPD’s Hostage Negotiation Team and Drone Unit were called to Carriage Park Towne House after a domestic disturbance.

CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — A domestic disturbance led to a large police response and evacuations at a Corpus Christi townhome complex Thursday morning as officers worked to make contact with a man who remained inside a home and had access to weapons, according to police.

Corpus Christi police were called to the 70 block of Townhouse Lane at Carriage Park Towne House, around 10:20 a.m.

Officers found the victim outside the home. Police said the man involved in the disturbance remained inside.

The Corpus Christi Police Department’s Hostage Negotiation Team and Drone Unit were called to the scene. Nearby residents were evacuated as a precaution.

Police said officers are making contact with the man. He has not been arrested at this time.

No injuries have been reported.

The victim was taken to CCPD’s main station to speak with detectives. Police said the two people knew each other and described the incident as isolated.
