He replaces longtime motor sports executive Bill Miller, a former president of Auto Club Speedway and Nazareth Speedway, who held the Arlington presidency for two years.
IndyCar and Penske CEO Mark Miles described the move in a statement as “a mutual decision which affords Bill the opportunity to return to his roots and home in Southern California.
“Under Bill’s leadership, the Java House Grand Prix of Arlington delivered an incredible inaugural race, laying a strong foundation and generating incredible excitement among fans, partners and the broader community. His guidance helped bring the vision for this event to life and positioned it for long-term success. We are grateful for his contributions, and we wish him all the best in his next endeavors.”
Yarborough most recently served as Senior Director of Partnerships for Team Penske and has spent much of his career with Octagon, a global sports marketing and entertainment agency.
