
Two people were critically injured in a motorcycle crash late Thursday on Northwest Loop 820, Fort Worth police say.

Two people were critically injured in a motorcycle crash that closed part of Northwest Loop 820 in Fort Worth overnight Thursday, police said.
Nearly 25 police units were dispatched to the 7800 block of Northwest Loop 820 shortly before midnight. A caller reported that someone was lying in the roadway near the Las Vegas Trail exit, according to the 911 call sheet.
Witnesses told investigators that the motorcycle was speeding and weaving in and out of traffic, police said. The bike crashed into a vehicle, and the passenger was thrown off.
The motorcycle’s driver and passenger were taken to a hospital with critical injuries, according to police.
The southbound lanes of Loop 820 at the Lake Worth bridge were closed while the accident was being cleared but have since reopened.
