Plano ISD voted to fire Brinker Elementary School Principal Jennifer King, who is accused of ignoring allegations of abuse by a now-former second-grade teacher.
PLANO, Texas — The Plano school board voted to terminate the principal who reportedly “took no action” after hearing accusations of abuse in her school.
As WFAA previously reported, Brinker Elementary Principal Jennifer King is named in a lawsuit that claims a former teacher was accused of inappropriately touching multiple students, and when it was brought to King’s attention, she did nothing.

In Plano ISD’s latest board agenda, an item dedicated to discussing terminating King’s contract was listed among the topics of discussion and action. The final decision was reached late Thursday.
The former teacher, Paul Campbell, was the victim’s second-grade teacher during the 2025–26 school year. Beginning September 1, 2025, and continuing through the remainder of the school year, the lawsuit alleges Campbell sexually assaulted and abused several second-grade girls on multiple occasions.
The filing makes serious allegations against Principal King, claiming she received at least one report of inappropriate touching by Campbell from another Brinker parent prior to the alleged abuse of the victim. Despite that report, the lawsuit alleges King failed to notify police or the Texas Education Agency (TEA) and took no action to investigate or increase supervision of Campbell. More victims have since come forward.
The former teacher was arrested for child sex crime charges on July 8 and fired by the district the very next day. Campbell is currently being held in the Collin County Jail, charged with one count of sexual abuse of a child and three counts of indecency with a child.
King is not facing any criminal charges.
