A UTA MavMover sits outside the Business Building Aug. 12. The free shuttle system takes students around campus using various routes.
On the streets around campus, dark blue shuttle buses go from stop to stop, dropping students off and picking them up. On the side of the shuttle, a large white horse with a blue mane is outlined in orange. These are the MavMovers, a mode of transportation across UTA’s campus and parking lots.
Students can board the shuttles at any designated stop along their routes, parking communications manager Larry Cummings said in an email. Each route goes to different buildings and parking lots on campus and in the surrounding area.
During the school year, MavMovers operate Monday through Friday across seven routes. Students can choose from five daily and two night routes, he said.
“The Mav Movers are one of the easiest ways to get around campus,” Cummings said. “Whether you’re heading to class, your residence hall, a parking lot, or an evening shopping trip, there’s a route designed to help you get there.”
Travel times vary depending on destination, route and traffic, he said. Students can use the TripShot website or app to check wait times, the live locations of the buses and route information. Students can also plan a trip through the website.
In addition to MavMovers, UTA offers a late-night security escort service, through which students can request a ride between 7 p.m. and 3 a.m. daily for transportation across campus and to select off-campus locations. Students can also use Via to travel off campus.

Orange Route
The Orange Route runs from 7:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday and stops at these locations:
