SAN ANTONIO — A Bexar County woman was arrested after investigators said she threatened to publish an intimate photo of her ex-boyfriend during a dispute involving $80,000 following their breakup, according to an arrest affidavit.

Janie Faye Flores, 39, is charged with threatening to publish intimate visual material, a state jail felony.

According to the affidavit, the Bexar County Sheriff’s Office began investigating in July after deputies were dispatched for a report of telephone harassment.

The victim told investigators he began receiving threatening messages from an unknown phone number following his breakup with Flores. The messages were connected to a dispute involving $80,000.

Investigators said the victim feared the intimate material would be made public and damage his reputation, business, and new relationship.

During the investigation, Flores allegedly admitted to sending an explicit image and messages to the victim using a fake phone number.

Flores was later arrested and charged in connection with the investigation.
