A pedestrian was struck by a train in the area of West Bonds Ranch Road in north Fort Worth late Saturday morning, Aug. 15, police say.

A pedestrian was struck and injured by a train Saturday morning in north Fort Worth, police said.

Officers were dispatched to an accident call in the 100 block of West Bonds Ranch Road near Fossil Springs Drive at 11:25 a.m. One person, believed to be a teen, had been hit by a train, police said.

The victim was taken to a local hospital. Information about the young person’s injuries was not immediately available.

Officers from the Traffic Investigation Unit will look into the cause of the accident.
