SAN ANTONIO — Two men have been arrested after two people were robbed of their jewelry at gunpoint at J Street Park.
According to an arrest affidavit, around 2 a.m. Monday, Aug. 10, the victims gave Sebastian Torres Arteaga Jr., 19, Robert Rivas Jr., 18, and a third person a ride to the park at 3500 J Street.
The third person pointed a handgun at one victim’s head, pulled him from the vehicle, and demanded his jewelry. The victim handed over a replica gold necklace and charm, along with gold earrings.
The third person then struck the second victim several times with the handgun before that victim surrendered a gold chain and large gold pendant to Arteaga and Rivas.
The three fled the scene on foot.
Both victims later identified Arteaga and Rivas in photo identification presentations.
Arteaga and Rivas have been charged with aggravated robbery.
