SAN ANTONIO — Questions surround an incident involving a man who was hospitalized after alleged gunfire erupted during a disturbance between two groups on the city’s Northwest Side.

The shooting was reported at approximately 1:27 a.m. early Sunday in the 4500 block of North Loop 1604 West.

SAPD said officers were dispatched for a shooting after a caller reported two groups were involved in a disturbance in a parking lot when a gunshot was fired.

When officers arrived, they did not find any shooting victims or complainants at the scene. Police later learned that a 20-year-old man suffering from a gunshot wound had arrived at a local hospital.

The victim’s condition was not immediately provided.

Investigators said it remains unclear what led up to the shooting. Police have not released a description or other information about a possible suspect, and no arrests have been made.
