SAN ANTONIO — One person has been taken to the hospital with burn injuries following a housefire on the northwest side, fire officials say.
The San Antonio Fire Department were called to the 200 block of Zachry Drive around 5:43 p.m. Monday.
When they got there, fire officials found heavy flames in one home with it starting to spread to another home. Significant damage was done to both homes after SAFD got the flames under control. SAFD believes the first home will be a total loss.
An older woman has been taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening burn injuries. Another person was inside the home as well but was not injured.
