LUBBOCK, Texas (KCBD) – A Lubbock tradition continues under a new name as Hope for Minds — formerly known as Team Luke Hope for Minds — invites the community to its 7th Annual Color Run/Walk/Roll.
The family-friendly and fully accessible event is scheduled for Saturday, Aug. 22, at 9 a.m. at Lubbock-Cooper High School.
The annual event raises awareness and critical funding for children recovering from pediatric brain injuries. Every registration helps provide financial assistance for therapies not covered by insurance, support groups, educational resources, and personalized family support.
Hope for Minds’ mission remains unchanged. Founded locally to honor Luke Siegel, the nonprofit has grown over a decade to support more than 1,000 families across 47 states with financial aid, education, and advocacy.
“This is not a step away from where we began, but a step forward because of it,” said co-founder Tim Siegel. “We’re protecting Luke and JD’s stories while allowing us to serve more families with greater clarity and reach.”
Registration for the 7th Annual Color Run/Walk/Roll is currently open.
Community members can sign up to run, walk, roll, cheer from the sidelines, or sponsor the event by visiting hopeforminds.org.
