In a social media post on Tuesday morning, August 18, Austin’s Circuit of the Americas revealed COTALAND — the race track’s upcoming 30-acre amusement park featuring more than 30 rides and attractions — will celebrate its opening day on Saturday, September 26, operating from 4  to 10 p.m. Those interested in taking the rides for a spin can now purchase their tickets online.

The theme park will be home to Texas’ only tilt coaster, dubbed the Circuit Breaker. Rides range from kid-friendly offerings to thrill seekers’ destinations, including tower swings, water rides, drop coasters, carousels, go-karting and more.

“This is the moment we have been waiting for,” COTALAND officials said in Tuesday’s announcement. “After watching the park transform from construction and dirt into a destination filled with rides, attractions, dining, games, and more, we are finally getting ready to welcome our first guests. We want you there.”

The grand opening comes approximately five years after Circuit of the Americas officials first unveiled plans to develop a theme park near the race plaza back in 2021.

Despite missing its forecast opening year, COTA’s $105 million investment is ready to start welcoming coaster enthusiasts. Its late September debut also comes just shy of a month before Formula One revs back into action from October 22 through October 25.
