LUBBOCK, Texas (KCBD) – UMC Health System will conduct a crane operation Saturday, Aug. 22, from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. in the area surrounding the B-1 Parking Lot, Children’s Emergency Center, Radiology and Outpatient Parking Lot as part of ongoing facility improvements.
During the operation, the following entrances will be temporarily closed:
Children’s Emergency Center: Patients and visitors are asked to use the Adult Emergency Center entrance.Radiology: Patients and visitors are asked to enter through the Main Entrance.
Patients and visitors may also experience temporary access restrictions to nearby drive lanes and walkways. UMC said all impacted areas will be clearly marked and on-site personnel will be available to assist with navigation.
UMC asked patients and visitors to avoid barricaded areas and follow all posted signage and directions while the work is underway.
UMC Health System is comprised of more than 4,900 team members and more than 60 care locations. It is the primary teaching hospital to Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center and serves West Texas and Eastern New Mexico.
