EL PASO, Texas (KFOX14/CBS4) — A man accused of leading El Paso County Sheriff’s Office deputies on a vehicle and foot chase in the Horizon area was arrested after a brief standoff, authorities said.
On Saturday at about 12:20 a.m., deputies attempted to conduct a traffic stop on a vehicle in Horizon City.
The driver failed to yield, leading deputies on a pursuit, according to the sheriff’s office.
Investigators identified the driver as 23-year-old Carlos Calvillo.

During the pursuit, the driver disregarded multiple stop signs before striking a parked, unoccupied vehicle.
After the collision, the driver got out and ran, officials said.

Deputies searched the area but were unable to immediately locate the driver.
Deputies obtained three arrest warrants accusing him of evading arrest or detention with a vehicle, evading arrest or detention on foot, and duty on striking an unattended vehicle.
At about midnight on Sunday, deputies located Calvillo at a residence in the 3300 block of Scarlet Point. After a brief standoff, Calvillo surrendered and was taken into custody without further incident.
Calvillo was booked into the El Paso County Downtown Jail with a total bond of $30,500.
