There are about six months to go until next year’s Mardi Gras, but Revelers Hall in the Bishop Arts District is bringing the Mardi Gras fun early with their upcoming Midsummer Mardi Gras Party.
“Mardi Gras” is French for “Fat Tuesday,” and the holiday is celebrated the Tuesday before Ash Wednesday, which marks the beginning of Lent. Revelers Hall throws a big celebration in honor of the holiday each year, and now they plan to throw an early Mardi Gras celebration at the end of August.
The party will take place on Sat., Aug. 29, and will begin with live music from the Revelers Hall Band from 2 to 6 p.m. Afterword, Congo Square will take the stage from 6 to 10 p.m. Steve Austin’s Bioniq Brass Band will close out the night from 10 p.m. to 2 a.m. Guests can enjoy just listening to the music or they can get up and dance the night away.
Besides live music there will also be drink specials from Aperol Spritz and Campari. Revelers also can order New Orleans-style cuisine from the menu.
August 29 from 2 p.m. to 2 a.m. at Revelers Hall, 412 N. Bishop Ave., Dallas. Free to attend; drinks and food for purchase. revelershall.com.
