Everman ISD on Wednesday announced funeral arrangements for teacher’s aide Lataivia Davis, 24, who was last week killed in a road rage shooting on Interstate Highway 20 in Fort Worth.

Funeral arrangements are set for the Everman ISD teacher’s aide who was killed last week in a road-rage shooting on Interstate 20 in southwest Fort Worth.
The teacher’s aide, 24-year-old Lataivia Davis, will be honored at events around Fort Worth at the end of next week, according to a post on the Everman ISD Facebook page.
The first of the events is a balloon release to be held at E. Ray Elementary School at 6:30 p.m. Aug. 27, according to the post. Davis worked at the school where the release will be held.
The funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Aug. 29 at Samaria Baptist Church in Fort Worth.
“Staff remembers LaTaivia as a kind, caring and joyful person whose warmth and spirit touched those around her,” a district statement reads. “Her connection to Everman ISD as both a former student and dedicated staff member made her a special part of our Bulldog family, and she will be deeply missed.”
