TYLER, Texas (KLTV) – Tonight on East Texas Tonight, we’re getting to know a man who spent nearly four decades helping East Texans prepare for whatever Mother Nature had in store.
Mark Scirto became one of the most familiar faces at KLTV, guiding viewers through everything from beautiful East Texas days to some of the most dangerous storms we’ve ever seen.
But tonight isn’t really about the forecast.
It’s about the memories — the people, the storms, the funny moments, the friendships and the experiences that stayed with him throughout his career.
And now, life looks a little different.
These days, Mark has more time for his family and grandchildren, fishing, music and singing at church — and he’s even taken on another important role as Santa Scirto.
So tonight, we’re getting to know Mark beyond the weather map and finding out what he’s been up to since stepping away from KLTV.
