EL PASO, Texas (KFOX14/CBS4) — Officials with the City of El Paso announced that the Party on the Plaza music series will continue through October for more summer fun.
The free monthly concert series hosted at San Jacinto Plaza has been held on the third Thursday of the month since May.
The event begins at 5p.m with live DJ sets, followed by headlining performances at 6:30 p.m.
The concert series brings live music, dancing, and community celebration to San Jacinto Plaza.
“This series is all about creating an electric atmosphere downtown,” said Ben Fyffe, the City of El Paso’s Quality of Life Managing Director.
Each month features a different genre of music:
Cumbia night will be held on August 20th.Jazz night will be held on September 17DJ Night will be held on October 15
The event is made possible by the support of GECU Federal Credit Union and is led by the El Paso Museums and Cultural Affairs Department in partnership with the El Paso Community Foundation.
So far, district venues have stayed open late and offered special programming, creating a lively walkable cultural experience each month.
