One of San Antonio’s most beloved TV news personalities is about to star in a new production.

KSAT announced Spivey’s appearance in a Thursday social media post, reflecting on the station’s coverage of the deadly Hill Country floods.

“The Hill Country floods changed Central Texas forever, and we continue to remember the lives lost and the communities affected,” the station wrote.

The San Antonio-based station also praised Spivey and its weather team for covering the disaster with “urgency, accuracy and compassion,” saying they helped viewers navigate the unfolding emergency while honoring those affected.

Spivey discussed her involvement in the documentary in a Wednesday social media post Wednesday, saying she continues to grieve the tragedy that killed 139 people

“A few months ago I was interviewed for a documentary on the Discovery Channel about the July 4, 2025 floods,” she wrote. “My mind was on the victims of this tragedy while being interviewed about the meteorology behind these horrible floods. My heart continues to be with the families of those who were lost. May their memories be a blessing.”
