LUBBOCK, Texas (KCBD) – The Lubbock Police Department’s Major Crash Unit is investigating a motorcycle crash that left one person dead.
Just after 9 p.m., on Saturday, August 8, officers responded to a crash involving a motorcycle near 82nd Street and Colton Ave.
Upon arrival, officers found 74-year-old James Dunn with moderate injuries. Police say he refused any medical treatment following the crash.
LPD’s Major Crash Unit was notified on August 20 that Dunn passed away on August 17, possibly from his injuries he suffered from the crash.
Investigators say it appears Dunn was traveling west on 82nd St., attempting to turn left on Elkhart, when the motorcycle he was driving struck a trailer pulled by a pickup truck traveling east.
No other injuries were reported. The crash remains under investigation.
