How Many Dogs Can You Have In Lubbock?

Under our city’s current ordinance, a Lubbock resident generally cannot have more than 4 adult dogs and 4 adult cats over the age of 16 weeks. You can also have one litter of kittens and/or puppies at a time without needing a multi-pet permit.

But…I’ve Got 5 Dogs….What Do I Do?

That’s where the multi-pet permit comes in…
If you LOVE animals and want MORE than 4 adult dogs and 4 adult cats, or more than one litter of kittens and/or puppies at a time, you can apply for a multi-pet permit. Lubbock Animal Services takes care of those, and there is an application fee, so don’t forget your wallet.
