With a 99% graduation rate, BASIS San Antonio – Shavano Campus has the No. 1 college readiness rank in Texas, ranked No. 2 on the college curriculum breadth index and No. 7 on the state assessment proficiency ranking. As far as students, the charter school is 54% male and 46% female, with demographics consisting of 44.9% Asian, 26.2% Hispanic, 18.3% white, 5.3% two or more races, 5% Black, and 0.3% American Indian/Alaska Native, according to U.S. News and World Report.
Young Women’s Leadership Academy, Hill Country College Prep High School in Bulverde, Heath Careers High School and IDEA Carver College Preparatory rounded out the top 5 schools in the San Antonio area.
