
Police are investigating after a woman was attacked by a dog Friday, Aug. 21, in east Fort Worth, officials say. The woman’s leg was injured, and she was taken to a local hospital in stable condition.

Police are investigating after a woman was attacked by a dog Friday morning in east Fort Worth.
More than a dozen police units were dispatched to the 800 block of Canton Drive starting about 7:40 a.m. They were told a woman who lived at that address had been attacked by a dog on the property, according to police. Animal Control officers also arrived and had to give the dog a tranquilizer before they could take custody of it.
The woman sustained injuries to her leg, according to a Fort Worth Fire EMS spokesperson. She was taken to a local hospital in stable condition.
Detectives will be looking into the incident, police said.
