Family and friends mourn two victims of a fatal wrong-way crash in Fort Worth, which also left a child hospitalized.
NORTH RICHLAND HILLS, Texas — Family and friends are mourning two of the victims killed in Tuesday’s wrong-way crash on a Fort Worth highway, as new details emerge about the collision that also left a young child hospitalized.
Fort Worth police say a Jeep traveling the wrong way in the westbound lanes of the highway struck a car head-on. The car was carrying Randi Holshouser, her daughter Tyler Triplett, a child loved ones identify as Randi’s granddaughter, and another male passenger.

Police pronounced Holshouser and Triplett dead at the scene, along with the driver of the Jeep. The child and the male passenger were the only survivors of the crash. The child remains hospitalized and is still recovering. The relationship between the victims and the surviving adult male passenger has not been disclosed.
A man who says he knew Holshouser for more than 50 years spoke with reporters but asked that his identity be kept hidden, saying he is still processing his grief.
“Going to miss our conversations,” he said. “She never judged anybody. She was a good person.”
Reflecting on both victims, he added, “They were very good people, and I’m going to miss her for who she was.”
Tyler Triplett leaves behind her child, who remains in the hospital.
