Three minors were arrested after a lockdown at Euless Trinity High School on Friday, officials with the Euless Police Department said.
At 3:58 p.m. Friday, police received reports that someone might have had a weapon on campus, according to a statement. The school resource officer coordinated a police response and administrators initiated a lockdown.
The three minors were detained “within minutes” of the initial report, and officers from neighboring schools and the Euless Police Department’s criminal investigations division assisted in securing the school. Officers found the threat was not credible, and no weapons were located.
The detained minors were not students at Euless Trinity and will not be publicly identified because of their age, police said. Potential charges remain pending.
