SAN ANTONIO – A large grass fire in south Bexar County prompted evacuations and a heavy first responder presence as crews worked to contain the flames.
The Bexar County Sheriff’s Office said on Facebook that it and Bexar County Fire & Rescue are responding to the fire in the 600 block of Hallmark Path.
The sheriff’s office said several residents had already evacuated and urged people in the area to expect significant emergency activity as crews work to contain and extinguish the fire.
As of 5 p.m. on Friday, no injuries or damage to property were reported.
