Lenelle Campbell, 96, passed away peacefully Thursday, Aug. 13, 2026. She was surrounded by family at her home in Larkspur, CA, where she lived with her daughter for 11 years. Graveside Service: 11 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 16, 2026, in Greenwood Memorial Park, 3100 White Settlement Rd., Fort Worth 76107. Reception: 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 16, 2026, at Greenwood Funeral Home in Memorial Suites C & D, 3344 White Settlement Rd., Fort Worth 76107. LeNelle was born in Granbury, Texas to Lee Hibert Smith and Nell Glenn Smith. She met her future husband, Tillman Campbell, while attending SMU in Dallas. They resided in Crestwood for 50 years and attended United Methodist Church. LeNelle founded LeWay Composing, a graphic design firm in the 1960’s. Texas Monthly Magazine named her one of the “Top Ten Women Execs” in 1979. LeNelle was honored to serve on the Small Business Administration Board for the state of Texas as the 1st woman in that role. She went on to publish AURA magazine. LeNelle deeply loved her family, her many friends and looked forward to going home to Texas. LeNelle was preceded in death by her husband, Tillman Campbell; and her beloved son, Mark Campbell, of Hawaii; as well as her brother, Louis Smith She is survived by son, Dennis Campbell and his wife, Regan of San Diego; daughter-in-Law, Lorna Young Campbell, of Hilo, HI; grandson, Justin Campbell, of Honolulu; daughter, Lisa Giffin and husband, James, of Larkspur, CA; grandson, Collin Giffin, of Sacramento, CA; and sister, Edith McReynolds of Missouri. Memorials: In lieu of flowers, her memory may be honored with a gift to LeNelle’s treasured Lighthouse for the Blind or a charity of your choosing.
