State Rep. Gina Hinojosa, the Democratic candidate for governor of Texas, will host a rally in Fort Worth on Tuesday.
It is scheduled for 6 to 7:30 p.m. at Eventos Licon, 8629 Camp Bowie West Blvd.
The rally will conclude a weekend of events hosted by Hinojosa in Fort Worth including an open house on Aug. 21, and a block walk on Aug. 22.
Hinojosa is running on a platform aiming to provide affordable healthcare, housing and strengthen public schools.
“Because the American Dream is a real thing. It is a house with your name on the deed in Fort Worth,” Hinojosa said at a Texas Democratic Convention in June. “It is a place you do not have to leave to make a living.”
Hinojosa will face Gov. Greg Abbott on Nov. 3.
