An updated extreme heat warning was released by the NWS Fort Worth TX on Saturday at 11:15 a.m. in effect until 8 p.m. The warning is for Parker, Tarrant, Dallas, Hood, Johnson, Young, Stephens, Palo Pinto, Rockwall, Kaufman, Erath, Somervell and Ellis counties.
The NWS informs, “Dangerously hot conditions with temperatures and heat index values up to 108 degrees.”
“Heat related illnesses increase significantly during extreme heat and high humidity events,” adds the NWS.
This warning is in effect until 8 p.m.
